The Role

As a Service Designer you will contribute to designing services that are usable, easy and desirable and will positively impact members and bring value to client’s business. Passionate about service design creating human-centred services, you will bring together research, design, business and technology to shape the services of the future.
Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
  • Own the service design deliverables within a project including service concepts, blueprints and other service design artefacts.
  • Document service journeys
  • Design service blueprints
  • Use design research techniques to uncover customer needs and pain points.
  • Plan and facilitate co-design workshops
  • Work collaboratively with service, technology and product teams and clients
  • Champion service design with internal and client stakeholders
  • Able to work within agile framework and promote agile working practices
  • Help to develop service management capabilities within service and operations teams
  • Quantitative and qualitative data analysis
  • Establish mechanisms to monitor, track and report on service measures and outcomes
  • Role model MUFG Pension and Market Services values & actively contribute to the Service & People Enablement function and the broader COO team
  • Support the management and identification of risk through data insights
  • Role model in managing risk and compliance focused culture across the team
  • 100% compliance with own learning requirements
Experience & Personal Attributes
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience in service design or related role such as user experience design or design research
  • Experienced at developing service blueprints.
  • Familiarity working with agile methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills and be confident presenting and defending your design decisions.
  • Knowledge of existing and emerging service design tools and methods, including Human Centered Design and Design Thinking
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Experience in facilitating online and offline workshops.
  • Experience quantitative research methodologies and drawing insights from data.
  • Proven history of working to deadlines.
  • Accustomed to working collaboratively with clients and cross-functional team members.
  • Ability to work within a self-directed culture and navigate ambiguity
