The Gap
Why we exist
A service designer can take many paths: UX design, user research, innovation consulting. Good job boards already cover those fields.
What was missing was a platform built for service design alone. Not listings that partly match the skill set. Jobs where the service design mindset is the job.
So we built that platform. Every position on this board is a service design job. Nothing else gets in.
Who We Are
We've been there
This board is run by service design professionals.
We know the frustration of being hired as a service designer and then deployed onto projects far from that expertise. The role was service design. The day-to-day was something else.
Finding a job that actually fits should be easier. That is the whole idea.
How It Works
Built around real needs
Since the site started, service design professionals have told us what they look for. Some are students. Some want a step up. Some want to move countries. The filters came out of those conversations.
