Paper Giant

As a Principal Service Designer, you will support the design and delivery of projects for clients. You will deliver effective service design for products, services, policy, systems and organisations. You will have the opportunity to apply a creative, innovative mix of design methods to uncover insights and create opportunities for outcomes that lead to systemic change.

You should have in-depth knowledge and experience in design, strategy, research and facilitation with diverse organisations and communities. Experience in applying human-centred design methodologies to achieve strategic outcomes is essential.

We are looking for candidates who want to go deeper on complex problems, who want to be part of a humble but high performing team, and who want to be part of a growing, respected and dynamic studio.

What you will do

As a Principal in the design practice, you will

    • Apply service design to tackle problems that range from concise and well-defined, to the expansive and ambiguous;
    • Discover organisation needs by designing research that uses the appropriate methods and resources;
    • Translate learnings into practical and feasible policy, product or service deliverables including service blueprints, service maps, or bespoke frameworks;
    • Create engaging narratives that frame findings in ways that resonate with the target audience; and
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project and client teams to realise ways to transform service insights into action.
    • Develop meaningful relationships with clients;
    • Be comfortable with the ambiguity of working in a trans-disciplinary way; and
    • Explore and experiment with new tools and methods.

Requirements

The background and skills you must have
