Service Designer

The Service Designer will work in a large multi-disciplinary transformation project team, reporting to the Senior Business Analyst to design and deliver an innovative new Scheme (the FAS) that supports victims of crime with financial assistance. The Service Designer will play a key role in designing a contemporary human centred experience for victims of crime and will work with a range of Whole of Government stakeholders, community sectors and people with lived experience.

This role will suit an experienced service designer who has had success in systems thinking, service models, user experience or customer experience design and delivery within a large complex organisation and who enjoys working in high performing team.

Some of your duties will include:

• Working with the Senior Business Analyst to design and deliver to the service design workstream milestones and deliverable as part of the program plan.
• Planning, designing and facilitating workshops with project team members, project governance groups and various stakeholders as necessary to elicit design requirements.
• Supporting options and recommendations analysis as required for various audiences that speaks to how the new service model will see, feel and look.
• Representing the service design workstream as required on behalf of the Senior Business Analyst.

About you

To be successful you will have:

• Demonstrated experience as a systems or service Business Analyst or Customer Experience/User Experience Service Designer.
• Worked on transformation or reform projects within a project team.
• The ability to communicate complex systems simply to various audiences and stakeholders and elicit insights and feedback.
• Experienced in Design Thinking, UX/UI Design, Experience Design is desirable.
• Experience of working with Agile delivery and developing Use Cases for analysts is highly desirable.
• Business Process Model Notation (BPMN) experience is highly desirable.
• MS Office skills to a high level is essential.

The ideal candidate will also have training or qualifications within Human Centred Design methodologies (desired).
