Service Designer

ROLE

This role will be part of the founding design team, tasked with designing and building new and improved digital services to a wide range of community users.

Working closely with the design consultancy and varying levels of government stakeholders, this role will work from a deep understanding of human-centred design to make positive change through creating meaningful experiences and enabling the systems and processes that make these changes possible.

YOU

• Display a human-centred passion for working with insights in problem spaces to deliver workable outcomes to the business
• Comfortable working with complexity and ambiguity and experienced enough to find a way through to well considered solutions
• Diverse experience in a range of complex problems using design-research, human-centred design and creativity (with case studies you can showcase)
• A high level of emotional intelligence and ability to create trust and build confidence
• Exceptional stakeholder management and an ability to lead workshops and discussions with a diverse range of personalities and levels of understanding
• Capability and experience to form a structured approach with realistic timeframes while allowing flexibility to deal with emergent insights
• Experience in the formation, design and production of compelling tangible outputs
• Experience in designing research approaches that include interviews, design research workshops, as well as prototyping and co-design research sessions
• A can-do and optimistic approach balanced with the pragmatism required to deliver realistic commercial outcomes
