We’ve partnered with one of our clients to strategically review their current product portfolio and manage the development and introduction of new products – while consolidating, enhancing and extending their more mature offerings.

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Service Designer to join us on a short-term contract and work with one of our clients in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You’ll contribute by participating in end to end design activities including user research, prototyping, user interface design, testing, synthesis and communicating design decisions to cross-functional teams.

What you will be doing:

  • User research, prototyping, visualisation, testing, analysing, and communicating design decisions, documenting detailed interaction models and UI specifications.
  • Articulate and share design thinking, decisions and solutions with the organisation showing how a user will experience your solution using data, user insights, research and best practice.
  • Collaborate with the design and product development teams to ensure project delivery meets deadlines and quality standards.
  • Advocate for users and promote human-centred design thinking.

About you:

You’ll be experienced in product strategy and validation, and have a passion for customer research.

You will be skilled at each stage of the design process with a focus on the needs of the customer, employing human-centred design principles to uncover appropriate solutions.

Experience within the public sector or working with a not-for-profit, as well as marketing experience will be extremely helpful.

Technical skills:

  • Design services within government / not-for-profit
  • Strong background in Human-Centred Design
  • Strong knowledge of design methodologies and one-on-one research methods
  • Low fidelity concept and prototyping
  • Strong background in design hypothesis, mapping and evaluation of success metrics

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrable experience and portfolio in service design
  • Adaptable and thrives in a dynamic environment
  • Australian Citizen
