Your team
As an Assistant Service Designer, you will join a motivated team of four at the Research & Design department.
The goal of your future team is simple: co-design the services, products or projects of hub.brussels.
Your tasks
– Supporting the Service Designers in carrying out the design activities:
- Demarcation of the internal guidance requests (via order form)
- Preparation of internal guidance methodologies
- Preparation and facilitation of co-creation workshops, synthesis of the results
- Interviews and user tests
- Coaching in collective intelligence
– Supporting the Service Designers in creating a toolbox accessible to agency staff: introduction to design, collective intelligence methodologies, co-creation modules, innovation platform, maker community, collaboration space, etc.
– Continuous improvement of the design tools (methods and processes) needed to support hub.brussels teams.
– Monitoring design and public innovation: methods and good practices, networks and actors of the transition, etc.
– Participate in the thematic programming of the Research & Design department.
And you?
You should definitely be able to do this
– You have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in design, humanities, social innovation, communication, innovation management or business management, or supplemented by a specialization in these domains.
– Did you obtain your diploma abroad? Then be sure to enclose the Belgian recognition of equivalence.
– You can demonstrate at least 1 relevant experience for this position.
– You express yourself fluently in at least 1 of the two official languages (Dutch/French) and are willing to learn the second.
These skills are worth mentioning
– Good knowledge of the principles and methodologies of design thinking, open innovation or collective intelligence.
– Knowledge of the challenges and operating principles of public services, of business and urban development in Brussels and of its ecosystem.
– UX knowledge is a plus.
– Good knowledge of English.
