Senior Service Designer

The Role

As a Service Designer at The Argonauts you will:

• Project Leading and Managing: Overseeing the full lifecycle of business & service design projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
• Research: pinpointing the customer’s problem as precisely as possible before working on solutions using qualitative and quantitative research, stakeholder mapping, system mapping, etc.
• Generating ideas, prototyping & testing: working iteratively from idea to prototype and making adjustments based on customer feedback.
• Facilitating Creative Workshops: Designing and leading engaging co-creation workshops that foster innovation and collaboration among stakeholders.
• Coaching & Training: Teaching the tricks of service design and design thinking, by providing training or coaching sessions.
• Writing Quotes: Writing quality proposals for new (or existing) clients.
• Bonus Competency: Experience in spatial design where you juggle with spatial plans and innovative concept designs to shape the experience of spaces before architects start working on them.

What We Are Looking For:

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in service (& spatial) design, with a portfolio demonstrating expertise in project management, facilitating creative workshops and strategic design.
• Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in design thinking and service design methodologies and tools.
• Digital & graphic skills: familiar with online co-creation tools (Mural, Miro, …) & possibly also graphic tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and/or Indesign (bonus).
• Mindset: A strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and a keen eye for detail. Great empathy, open view of the world & Pippi Longstocking courage.
• Education: A degree in strategic product design, industrial product design, product development, commercial engineering, or (applied) economics. Additional education or postgraduate degrees in design thinking, innovation, spatial & service design are nice extras. Specific experience in a related field is also valuable.
