Senior Service Designer

The Argonauts help governments, non-profits, and companies with social impact tackle complex challenges and design human-centered services. We are looking for a Senior Service Designer to help shape this work.

The Role

As a Senior Service Designer, you work across the full lifecycle of our projects:

• Research — You define the client’s problem clearly before moving to solutions: qualitative and quantitative research, stakeholder and system mapping.
• Ideas, prototypes & testing — You iterate from idea to prototype, refining based on feedback.
• Facilitating workshops — You design and lead powerful co-creation sessions that spark collaboration and innovation among stakeholders.
• Leading projects — You oversee the entire project cycle and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Coaching & training — You teach clients and colleagues the craft of service design and facilitation through training or coaching.
• Writing proposals — You prepare strong proposals for new and existing clients.

What You Bring

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in service (& spatial) design, with a portfolio showing project management, workshop facilitation, and strategic design.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, skilled in design thinking and service design methodologies.
• Familiarity with online co-creation tools such as Miro.
• A strategic thinker with a passion for innovation, sharp eye for detail, strong empathy, and plenty of courage.
• Degree in strategic product/service design, industrial product design, product development — postgraduate studies in design thinking, innovation, or spatial/service design are a plus.
