General responsibilities of all Bridgers include:

  • The ability to work independently on and take ownership over small projects and/or key work streams within large projects
  • Excellent project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to consistently prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills that demonstrate tact and diplomacy
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team focused on creating more human-centred experiences across various service touchpoints
  • Build a deep understanding of our client’s business model and internal dynamics to effectively apply service design tools and build creative solutions
  • Synthesize data from research and co-creation sessions to identify key insights and translate them into opportunity areas
  • Co-design prototypes, including low fidelity, rapid iterations in co-creation sessions, and high-fidelity outputs using a variety of software tools
  • Effectively use storytelling to communicate user insights, opportunity areas, and concept designs to different audiences
  • Explore trends and best practices and summarize the potential applications in client work
  • Adept at learning new software and proficient with one or more of Adobe Creative Suite, and digital prototyping tools
  • Relentlessly explore new opportunities for our business

Profile of an ideal candidate, but not limited to, in each of the job families:

Visual/Interaction Designer:

  • Creative – both in the sense of being imaginative and having original ideas and in the sense of creating new objects, services, experiences
  • Telling compelling stories, whether through narrative prose, compelling visuals, or effective prototypes
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and efficient, with a strong ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Design Researcher:

  • Able to empathize with others, and are able to see the world from someone else’s point of view
  • Work experience in qualitative research, design execution, and/or consulting
  • Experience with human-centred design and design thinking

Service/Business Designer:

  • A strong systems thinker and creative problem solver
  • Ability to refine the details of a solution until it meets a high standard for excellence
  • Flexible and adaptable, allowing you to be comfortable in environments with a high degree of ambiguity
