As a Service Designer, you’ll spearhead multi-disciplinary teams in transforming business initiatives to harmonize cross-government and cross-sector programs and services with gov.bc.ca. Your focus will be leveraging the web as an optimized platform for service delivery, employing a citizen-focused, evidence-based approach for web and service design.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Leading multidiscipline teams in transforming initiatives to align programs and services with gov.bc.ca
  • Creating and delivering the Service Strategy for business transformation
  • Addressing executive-level stakeholders, presenting compellingly and persuasively
  • Providing recommendations, advice, and obtaining buy-in for strategies and user experience approaches
  • Mentoring team members on service design methodologies and approaches
  • Demonstrating expertise in Design Research, Information Architecture, Content Development, Prototyping, and Strategic Planning
  • 5+ years producing and managing design pattern / asset libraries
  • 1+ year working with government-led decentralized identity software solutions
  • 2+ years working with government-led Identity management common services
  • 5+ years working in cross-functional agile teams aligning requirements with product vision and user needs
  • Degree in Service Design/Digital Design/Cognitive Psychology/Market Research or equivalent experience in service design (minimum 5 years)

Contractor Responsibilities:

  • Leading the adoption of common services in the domain of digital identity and credentials
  • Planning and conducting workshops and meetings with stakeholders
  • Developing proposals for strategic product or service changes, including change management strategies
  • Identifying and planning benchmarks for service design in digital identity
  • Leading research sessions and interviews with potential adopters of Digital Trust services
  • Documenting research findings through written and graphic visualizations
  • Mentoring DITP staff in service design practices, methods, and tools
  • Providing regular briefings and active participation in meetings and working sessions within the multidisciplinary agile team.
