Service Designer

We’re looking for a Service Designer to join our growing team in our studio in Berlin. You will be involved in every stage of our design process with the ultimate goal of helping improve the way people interact with physical and digital products.

You are an empathetic, multi-skilled service designer who is comfortable gathering and utilizing business and customer insights, identify opportunities, define strategies, and create concepts. Being a collaborative team player in interdisciplinary teams you create meaningful solutions that disrupt the market. You lead the development of innovative new services from initial brief all the way to delivery.

You possess a natural ability to articulate the concepts of good service design to develop our clients’ perspective on the topic. Your background may be in design or business.

You are responsible for…

• Effective research to uncover our clients’ and the customers’ needs and wants
• Understanding service-related challenges, analyzing them, and mapping problem-solving and original journey and processes
• Development of service blueprints
• Produce a range of service design deliverables for different touchpoints
• Owning the sales of service design related projects
• Furthering of positive relationship with our clients who cherish the continuity in our work

You succeed in this role…

• With a degree in Service, Interaction, Industrial or related design field
• Subtle experience in the service design field and related tools and methods
• Proven track record in a broad range of research and innovation-oriented projects
• Creative mindset, passion for innovation, and strategic thinking capability
• Experience with customer and stakeholder engagement
• Excellent presentation and communication skills both verbally and written in English (fluent) and German (conversational)
• Readiness to travel within Germany

• Having worked in corporate and/or agency set-ups
• Experience in quantitative research methodologies and drawing insights from data
• Ability to communicate with clients and partners about design methodologies and artifacts
• Knowledge in designing digital services
• Experience with high-level customer and stakeholder engagement
• Eagerness to mentor and elevate other creative people into service design thinking
