Your Team

As a member of Avaloq’s global design team you will become a part of a talented and highly motivated group of designers, product managers, product owners, and engineers that are responsible for shaping Avaloq’s product offering. You will play an integral role in this process by ensuring a design driven and human centered innovation and development approach leading to solutions that re-envisage our users’ financial experience.

Your mission

• Conduct and document design thinking workshops with customers and internal stakeholders
• Exercise all aspects of design thinking, including interviewing, requirements gathering, empathy mapping, creating service or solution blueprints, etc.
• Work with sales and pre-sales teams to pursue client opportunities, identify customer goals and needs, and shape tailored proposals
• Work with product managers, designers, and engineers to build out solutions that will delight and benefit users by ensuring a feedback loop from customer needs into product development
• Be an ambassador for design driven approaches internally and towards customers

Qualifications

What you need

• 3+ years professional experience as a business designer, strategic designer, or in a design thinking role
• Degree or certification in business or strategic design resp. design thinking, or other relevant qualification
• Curious and creative thinking and an ability to ask “why” and “why not”, develop big ideas, and work out the details
• A passion for championing customer and user experience
• Very good analytical and problem-solving competency and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English and German
