We are looking for ambitious service designers (or UX researchers) who want to grow together with us and our solutions. At Orbit, a wide range of tasks, exciting projects and unusual tasks await you. With us you have the opportunity to support services, products, experiences, start-ups and Co. from research to scaling and to shape them sustainably. Because UX is not a niche skill for us, but a holistic task for generalists.

The field of “User Experience Design” is very broad at Orbit and we use it synonymously with “Service Design”. The important thing about this general position is that you don’t have to have a foothold in all areas or be first-class.

There are the following core work areas:

  • user research
  • ideation
  • prototyping & testing
  • Conception
  • interface design

and the following possible additional tasks:

  • project management
  • stakeholder management
  • Workshop facilitation

There are plus points for knowledge and experience in these areas:

Tools are not crucial for us at first. It is important that the mindset is right. But if you really want to know, these are our most used tools:

  • Sketch and InVision
  • Slack
  • Keynote
  • G drive

qualification

Hard Skills

  • You have already gained at least 3 years of professional experience as a user experience designer or service designer in a management consultancy, an agency, a venture builder, a start-up or an innovation unit.
  • You have good knowledge of qualitative (interviews, service safaris, etc.) and quantitative user research (surveys, split testing, etc.).
  • You can design services, products and experiences, have knowledge of prototyping (analogue & digital) and testing
  • You have basic knowledge of interface and business design
  • You have experience in conception and moderation of workshops
  • You have experience with agile projects and/or in agile organizations
  • You have excellent knowledge of German and feel very comfortable with customers

  • You are curious and want to continuously develop yourself.
  • You constantly engage in new ways of thinking and situations and you are tempted to constantly expand your skills and knowledge.
