About the job and your team

Interested in transforming how people experience services in an organization with global reach? Currently, we’re looking for a junior service designer to join our interdisciplinary Modern Workplace / User Experience team in Székesfehérvár (with option for home office). Our goal is to develop a truly customer-centric culture by embedding service design practices throughout our aluminum business.

You will work on

  • Taking on smaller, exploratory projects to extend team’s flexibility. Also assisting on bigger projects: for example by taking visual notes during workshops, going through data from user research, building prototypes, etc. using collaborative tools
  • Shadowing roles like more experienced designers
  • Map basic user journeys and understand user needs
  • Help refine ideas through continuous feedback and small improvements
  • Take part in analyzing basic data and identifying user pain points and opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with other professions to gather insights and make recommendations for improvements
  • Contribute to the creation of artefacts like service maps, user journey flows and presentations to communicate ideas and concepts to others
  • Identify the areas of improvement in our current business processes, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful adoption of the new procedures
  • Observe and support collaboration with business  to gather feedbacks and requirements and ensure all teams (customers and providers) are aligned on the proposed changes

What it takes to become a Junior Designer at Hydro

  • Tech-savvy: proficiency in Microsoft tools, Miro, and Dovetail
  • Idea generator: ability to work efficiently and present your ideas with compelling rationale. Footprints of previous initiatives is welcome
  • Trendsetter: passion for improving your creative skills and staying ahead of design trends
  • Team player: enjoy collaborating with senior creatives, business representatives and service owners to craft engaging research
  • Go-getter: eager to dive into multiple projects and learn from the best
  • Learner: a willingness to learn is more valuable to us than years of experience
  • Educational background: a BA degree in service design, or a related field is a plus but not a deal-breaker
