Service Designer

Your challenge

We are looking for a Service Designer who is passionate about innovation that improves people’s health and the care they receive.  Someone who has proven the ability to create compelling and valued user experiences that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

Your responsibilities

As a service designer, you will be responsible for contributing to a user-centered design approach across all phases of the design process – from analysis, exploration, concept development, prototyping, evaluation, and implementation. You will work to understand and translate user needs and business requirements into compelling, efficient, and highly effective designs working primarily on a range of healthcare-related connected sensing propositions.

Specifically, you will create user scenarios and service blueprints that describe the end-to-end customer experience, touchpoints, and back-end service delivery systems that reflect the needs of users, customers, and our brand values.  You will plan and help facilitate co-creation workshops and collaborative sessions with potential users, partners, and customers as you work together to develop better solutions together

Philips Design is the in-house design house of Philips working across multiple domains in healthcare, consumer lifestyle, and Research. Located in Gurgaon and Bangalore, Philips Design plays a key role in the entire proposition creation process from facilitating a co-creation approach to defining user experience to implementation in products and services.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

• Masters / Bachelors Degree in Service Design, Interaction Design or related field

• 5+ years of relevant user-centered design experience

• Strong analytical, creative, and visual skills

• Working knowledge of mobile and web technologies and prototyping tools

• Experience working within agile software development processes

• Collaborative team player

• Self-Motivated, pro-active thinker
