Senior Service Designer

As a Senior Service Designer, you will be a respected service design practitioner among your peers, clients and team members. You will apply your practical experience of service design to deliver cost-effective, timely and highly usable service design solutions. You will be the lead practitioner on service design engagements, and you will support and manage individuals and teams to do this work as well as practically contributing to all deliverables when necessary.

Day-to-day, you will work in a variety of areas:

• Monitor relevant trends, explore new ways of working and help catalogue tools, methods and ideas that are considered best practice, help identify and refine improvements to our ways of working
• Support teams, colleagues, and peers to deliver end-to-end service design projects to the highest level of quality, and be primarily responsible for all project deliverables that cover the full range of UX and Service Design artefacts, including Research Plan & Reports, Personas (qualitative, quali-quantitative and quantitative), Journey Maps, System Maps, Service Concepts, Service Blueprints, Service Guidelines, Wireframes, Service Prototypes, User Scenarios, User Stories, Service Roadmaps
• Training and recruitment in accordance to Avanade’s values and principles of diversity, collaboration and excellence in delivery

Key Role Skill & Capability Requirements

• Knowledge and experience of service design practices, ideally with degree accreditation in a relevant field of research or design
• Awareness of the wider service design community, with a strong set of projects in the public domain
• Track record in complex, technology enabled service design delivery, ideally with experience in agency, consulting and in-house delivery
• Experience in coaching, mentoring, or line managing more junior staff
• Highly collaborative, able to work across disciplines, and happy to work independently too
