Service Designer

We are looking for a Service Designer with proven experience in the museum sector and in the field of museum/cultural accessibility, with active and concrete works that attest to their skills. The ideal resource has a VAT number and is available for project collaborations that can also be repeated over time.

Requirements:

• Consolidated experience in designing accessible museum services
• Portfolio with active and completed works
• Availability to travel to the Pavia office for short meetings
• Ability to interface with multidisciplinary teams, in particular with the design team and the PM (key piece in the project)

Qualifications

• Academic background :

• Degree in Design, Architecture, or related disciplines
• Masters or specialized courses in Service Design, Experience Design, Accessibility, or Museology (also online)

• Professional experience :

• At least 3-5 years of experience in the museum sector or in the accessible services design sector
• Portfolio of concrete projects related to museum accessibility – preferably with examples of completed work

• Technical skills :

• Knowledge of accessibility best practices, including standards and guidelines (such as WCAG, ADA)
• Ability to use design and prototyping tools (e.g. Adobe XD, Figma)
• Ability to design user-centered services with a multidisciplinary approach

• Transversal skills :

• Excellent communication and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
• Problem-solving and active listening skills
• Autonomy in managing work and meeting deadlines

• Other preferred qualifications :

• Knowledge of hardware and technologies for museum accessibility (e.g. audio guides, web apps, tactile systems)
• Experience in leading workshops and co-design activities with users with special needs
