Senior Service Designer

As the Senior Advisor you’ll be working collaboratively, with a wide range of stakeholders, towards solving meaningful and challenging transport, safety and climate problems.  You’ll explore, define and design behavioural, digital and systemic solutions to ambitious Transport goals. Solutions we are currently exploring include a network of sustainable modes of transport, access to public transport, and transitioning to electric vehicles.

You’ll play a critical role for teams, conducting design research, understanding current state and proposing how we make both improvements and innovative change with customers and users at the centre of your thinking. Working within an advisory context with the wider business you’ll utilise a range of design practices, exploring customer challenges, ideating and prototyping solutions.

We’re looking for the following skills and experience:

• Experience and belief in the power of true collaborative working, to see challenges from differing perspectives, and champion the customer view.
• Exceptional advisory, facilitation, influencing and consultative skills
• Experience in digital product development, CX and UX and continuous discovery.
• Experience with Design Thinking and the application of Human-Centred Design to business problems.

You will also demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
