Service Designer

We are looking for talented designers who are creative thinkers with a learning and growth mindset. We seek those who are passionate, optimistic, and enthusiastic about a range of new experiences and relish the opportunity to tackle complex challenges with enthusiasm.

You will have 3+ years of professional practice in design (service design, experience design, customer experience design roles) and consulting experience. You can manage design work within time and client budget, you are collaborative by nature and can travel for project work if needed. You are adept at working online due to the current pandemic restrictions. You will work across many projects and utilise a variety of skills. However, to give a sense of who should apply, we are interested in the following backgrounds, knowledge and skills:

• 3+ to 5 years proven industry experience
• You have a degree or diploma qualification in visual design (graphics / visual communication)
• High level of proficiency across the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly in InDesign and Illustrator
• You have a strong portfolio showcasing skills and passion for both editorial and document design, typography, information visualisation, and human-centred design
• You can visualise complex qualitative and quantitative datasets in desirable and accessible ways for others
• You work collaboratively as part of a team
• You can lead conversations with clients using competent verbal communication skills
• You are confident engaging in design critique processes, as well as the ability to give and receive feedback
• You work autonomously when required and meet deadlines
• You have good writing skills
• You show evidence of valuing and practising attention to detail
• You show a passion for pushing creative boundaries, take the initiative and are at the forefront of current visual design trends
• You have an awareness of what it means to uphold the principles of the Treaty
• Experience in Office 365 and using PowerPoint, Excel and Word as design tools
• Experience in Procreate or other iPad illustration programmes
