The Products & Services Design team works to design a better Justice experience. We undertake strategic technology design, innovation design, and products & services design. The Service Designer is a key leader in these areas; ensuring that people are at the centre of our services.We are currently seeking a permanent or fixed term Service Designer to join the Products & Services Design Team in the Ministry’s Digtial Office. This is an influential leadership position in the team. Your experience, enthusiasm, initiative, ability to influence and deep understanding of design thinking will be critical to successful technology service delivery.

He pūkenga tou/Skills and Experience

To be successful in the role you must have the following:

• Substantial and demonstrable experience in service design, customer experience design and / or user experience design;
• Experience working in an technology environment; collaborating with, consulting too, and influencing ICT delivery teams;
• Experience leading design activities in public sector organisations preferred
• A willingness to learn and to help others learn;
• The resilience to champion new ways of working;
• Be an influencer and a servant leader; and
• Be self-motivated, self-managing, and a self-starter.
