Our role – Our Role

Our People, Governance & Capability group are now looking to welcome 2x Service Designers and 2 x Senior Services Designers to our team.  With our commitment to our customers, it is our Service Designers who design, develop, and support the implementation of initiatives that help us achieve our vision. As a member of our Business Analysis & Service Design team you will be supported to produce new ideas, approaches and insights and offer a range of solutions. Our focus, first and foremost is on our customers.

Service Designer

The Service Designer role applies Service Design approaches in projects, working with customers, partners and teams to ensure we develop and implement human centred services that make a real and positive impact on the lives of our customers, and ensures our staff have the tools, capability, and systems to enable them to deliver these services and products.

The Service Designer will work with Senior Service Designers, partners, teams and projects to build confidence and embed capability in the application of Service Design and human centred approaches.

Senior Service Designer

The Senior Service Designer role applies Service Design approaches in projects, working with customers, partners and teams to ensure we develop and implement human centred services that make a real and positive impact on the lives of our customers, and ensures our staff have the tools, capability, and systems to enable them to deliver these services and products.

The Senior Service Designer will work with Service Designers, partners, teams and projects to build confidence and embed capability in the application of Service Design and human centred approaches.

Your potential – What you will bring

Service Designer

  • Some experience in the application of design approaches (including human-centred design, service design, design thinking, systems thinking) through to implementation
  • Knowledge and experience within a relevant service design discipline (i.e., Systems Design, Business Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design)
  • Understanding of how to conduct customer research and turn customer and business insights and data into actionable insights to inform the design and delivery business solutions that align with our strategic intent and customer and business needs
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and customers and confidence to lead or contribute to the facilitation of codesign workshops

Senior Service Designer

  • Confidence and passion to advocate for the people and their needs within the service (customer and employee needs) throughout the project, and to communicate and document these needs in a format that is visible, clear and can be traced to solutions.
  • 4 or more years of proven experience of design approaches (including human-centred design, service design, design thinking, systems thinking) implemented in various sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of service design and/or other design disciplines (ie. Systems Design, Business Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design).
  • Experience in conducting empathy interviews and customer research and turning customer and business insights and data into actionable insights to inform the design and delivery business solutions that align with our strategic intent and customer and business needs.
  • Proven experience working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, customers and disciplines with competing needs and the confidence to lead engaging co-design workshops.
