Service Designer – UX

Asplan Viak aims to be the foremost arena for societal development – nothing less! To succeed in this, we know that technology and digital innovation are the key. That is why the company is now investing heavily in digital and technology expertise. 

We  have one of Norway’s largest and strongest professional environments within geographical information systems. We develop and deliver our own digital services at the same time as we use technology from other suppliers for production and analysis. Our goal is to be a leading supplier of geomatics as a subject in Norway and to have a clear international market intervention.  

We will be even better at using the professional knowledge and data we have in  Asplan Viak  to create new digital services. In particular, we will  focus  on creating services that contribute to more sustainable infrastructure in the marine sector, roads and in unmanned aviation.    

Our digital services must  focus  on the user. People today use a number of different systems and technologies and place great demands on them to be targeted, simple and effective. Solutions that are not  this  are quickly put aside.   

We are therefore looking for a service designer who  f orstår people and technology and the ability to find and describe solutions that provide high usability.  

Current office locations are Sandvika, Arendal, Skien or Trondheim. It is good if you specify in your application which office location you want to go to.

Tasks: 

• You will work interdisciplinary with service design, interaction design and graphic design together with our developers, professionals and our customers.   
• You will work with service design related to our products and digital services, to our internal solutions in  Asplan Viak  and as a participant in customer assignments.   

Qualifications:

You are genuinely concerned with digital user experiences and continuous improvement and further development and enjoy understanding and assisting others.  

You know universal design and understand how user insights can be used to  create  new and better services for everyone. You know the requirements and criteria in legislation and from  DIFI .  

In addition to this, you have expertise in  

• Service design  
• HTML and CSS and have produced content for the web in the past.  
• UX , design  and prototyping of web solutions. If you also have experience with app solutions, this is an advantage.  
• Design sprint  

You must have experience in presenting geographical information and statistics on the web. If you know the principles of good cartography it is great.
