Senior Service Designer

About the role: Working together with other Service Designers and Business Analysts, in a wider team of a team of UX / UI specialists and Solutions Architects (as part of probably the biggest tech team in conservation) you’ll play a key role in shaping our digital experiences and evangelizing a user-centered approach throughout the organization.

Together we’ll develop a deeper understanding of our users’ needs, motivations, and pains, explore a range of creative solutions and deliver desirable, delightful, engaging experiences.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:  

– You’ll be collaborative, fun and friendly, adept at engaging stakeholders and users in discovery activities
– You’ll be a passionate advocate for design thinking and be experienced at planning, facilitating and driving stakeholders through a design thinking processes
– You’ll have experience of managing stakeholder relationships and balancing the demands of multiple projects running simultaneously
– You’re comfortable leading discovery and ideation with a range of team members, guiding projects through the design thinking process, sharing your work and advocating for user-centred design across the wider organisation
– You’ve got excellent people skills, recognise the importance of getting feedback early and often from peers and users, and always look for opportunities to collaborate and share
– Ultimately, you’ll be an excellent Service Designer with experience working on a variety of different projects, you’ll have your own ideas about what great Service Design looks like and how you want to implement it.
