Senior Service Designer

We are looking for a level-headed senior service designer that can run service and strategic design projects. You translate complex client challenges into a clear briefing. You apply a human-centred and co-creative design approach, you prefer doing over thinking. You ensure your team members reach their full potential so they can deliver a quality solution to the problem.

As a Namahn senior service designer you will:

• Work on multiple projects at the same time, in close collaboration with both clients and colleagues
• Work for a variety of clients and sectors (from non-profit to public and private clients)
• Be the lead designer in service and strategic design projects, while leaving room for colleagues
• Mentor and coach less experienced designers
• Lead user-research and cocreation activities
• Continuously improve our design approach and deepen our service design methodology and capabilities
• Be the main person of contact for clients
• Take responsibility for activity and resource planning within design projects
• Lead sales efforts: define the approach and budget based on the client’s needs

• You are able to lead human-centered projects involving a variety of stakeholders, even for complex projects (fuzzy project definition and uncertain client team)
• You are able to overlook the overall approach and coordinate the different design activities
• You know how to manage a team; you value individual perspectives and are able to create a safe environment for learning
• You are able to prepare, facilitate and synthesize cocreation sessions, client meetings and internal working sessions under pressure (little time, challenging dynamics and very specific questions)
• You are able to design, lead and synthesize brainstorms and internal working sessions to find creative solutions for complex challenges
• You have the ability to communicate ideas and concepts clearly even for complex services, in varying levels of detail, according to the challenge at hand
• You are able to effectively communicate the process, approach and result of your work in verbal and visual presentations internally and to clients with little to no preparation
• You can lead sense-making activities of complex information, business processes, user flows and product-service ecosystems together with other team members and clients
• You are able to produce state of the art design deliverables, such as user journeys, service blueprints and service prototypes
• You possess good knowledge of the latest societal, technological, and economic trends and how they might impact services
• You possess good knowledge of the implementation of services and/or the organization of service pilots
• You master design applications (e.g., Adobe Suite, Figma, Axure) and Microsoft 365 with high dexterity
• You have full professional proficiency in English and speak either Dutch or French
