Senior Service / UX Designer

Description

We are seeking a Lead Service / UX Designer to join our existing creative digital team.

You will lead in creating accessible and intuitive products across multiple channels, devices, browsers and platforms. You will be responsible for driving our User Experience forward by producing best-in-class, user focused interfaces, actively supporting our product roadmaps.

You will contribute to the creation of, and changes to transactions, products and content design strategy across digital channels provided by different parts of the business and the design of end-to-end flows that help users complete their goals.

You will evaluate the design contribution inside the company, define a process plan and create future iterations.

You will also lead our UX research, the development of design concepts, and create comprehensive user testing programmes. In addition, you will help develop prototypes and iterative designs based on evidence of user needs and organisational outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop effective user experience solutions
• Preliminary user research and insight formalisation, including primary and secondary research (desk and field)
• Strategic design of user facing systems that create safe, consistent and intuitive interactions, with a particular focus on accessible and inclusive experiences
• Envision and support the service, planning and organising processes, and align people to deliver the best customer experience (service blueprint, system map etc.)
• Support Design Leadership in defining and policing standards
• Consult with various teams and provide expertise on interaction, design contribution and service alignment
• Develop wireframes and user journeys that demonstrate the affordances and flow of information within systems
• Plan and conduct user testing, creating scenarios and evaluate insights, consistency, usability, and possible improvements
• Run feasibility meetings, create and facilitate internal workshops with engineering, research team, business development and branding and liaise with data scientists
• Coach and support UX Designers within the team
• Have experience using design systems and working in an agile culture

Requirements

• You have a minimum of 5 years experience, having ideally completed a design-related degree or similar qualification
• You have a user-focused approach to design with demonstrable experience of understanding user behaviours and needs
• You are able to translate user stories into design approaches or services, whilst having the ability to share best practice and coach others
• You are highly proficient in mapping experiences, flows and communicating ideas

Bonus requirements (beneficial but not essential)

• Experience in project management
• Understanding of blockchain technology and data privacy
• Have a keen interest in machine learning and AI, and in technological trends and their possibilities
