Service Designer

We are looking for individuals with skills across Strategic Design, Service Design and/or User Research to be part of multi-disciplinary teams across Discovery and Alpha. Individuals will work as part of a team to complete targeted research with businesses and engagement activities across government to help inform future trade proposals.

Role Specific Tasks:

• Plan, facilitate and conduct various user research activities.

• Support the shaping of actionable insights to inform decisions and recommendations.

• Engage with stakeholders across the taskforce to communicate work and identify opportunities to align to deliver shared strategic objectives.

• Design and facilitate workshops with businesses and Government stakeholders. Workshops may include co-design workshops, prioritisation, research share-backs and feasibility discussions.

• Regularly develop and communicate progress and findings to senior stakeholders.

Essential Criteria:

• Knowledge and experience working in Discovery and Alpha phases of the Service Design and Delivery Process and understanding of human-centred design approaches.

• Strong communication skills and ability to communicate the value of human centred design to internal and external stakeholders.

• Experience in planning and facilitating various user research activities including unstructured interviews, contextual enquiries and concept testing.
