Service Designer

The ideal candidate is passionate and knowledgeable about good design principles, obsesses over the details, thrives on creativity and collaboration. Our culture is design centric and your work will directly influence care delivery, patient experience, operations, product design and development of new software, and training. You’ll be empowered to lead and, working across the organization. You’ll conduct and facilitate research, workshops, and journey mapping to improve program design for our patients, physicians, and employees. Collaborate with our operations team, technology, product, and clinical teams to frame issues and lead stakeholders through ideation, rapid prototyping, and iteration. Your work will identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement and ultimately achieve our vision of advancing the practice of psychiatry.
You have a high degree of intellectual curiosity, are passionate about improving the human condition through design, and are comfortable in a fast-paced start-up environment.
What you will do:
- Use research, data, workshops, and interviews to improve or create new workflows, processes that improve patient, physician, and employee experience
- Identify gaps that lead to expanding organizational capabilities and influence the development of workflow and software solutions
- Create presentations, reports, visual maps, service maps, sophisticated journey maps, and service blueprints to help Talkiatry adopt best practices, operational and technological excellence, and drive high quality care.
- Collaborate with our Learning and Organizational Development team to build a library of documented workflows and best practices for use in training to ensure consistency in service delivery
- Plan and lead co-creation workshops across the organization leading to analysis and development of new processes based on good design-principles
- Work with your peers in clinical care, finance, operations, product, revenue cycle, and technology to turn workflow brainstorms and practice needs into patient and employee journey diagrams.
- Rapidly produce multiple concepts and workflows, understanding when deeper exploration is warranted and when it is best to change paths and try another approach.
- Use data in the design and decision-making process.

- An expert facilitator who’s capable of communicating human-focused deign concepts that leads to productive brainstorming sessions whether working with accounting, physicians or product design colleagues.
- You care about the impact of your work. You have a point of view on how to evaluate the success of your designs.
- You are proficient in Figma, Lucid chart, Mural and other tools
- Five years’ relevant experience delivering excellent design solutions as a Service Designer, Product Designer, Interaction Designer
