Service / UX Designer

Service Designer/UX Designer 

We are looking for a Service/UX Designer to join us on a contract position, working on one of our large government digital transformation projects, where we are designing and building a leading digital citizen facing service.

This is for an initial 3-month contract and we are looking for someone who can start asap.

Duties/Experiences:

• Interpreting user research findings and user needs to draft service requirements

• Design of user journey maps to demonstrate service requirements and future service features

• Wire-framing

• Prototyping, using GOV Prototype Toolkit & Sketch/Invision or similar

• Facilitation of workshops and interviews

• Facilitating user testing

Key Skills:

• Have facilitated and interpret research (user and organisational needs)

• Experience designing user journeys

• Experience creating wireframes and prototypes

• Experience of Government Prototype Toolkit

• Experience of Sketch/Invision or similar

• Thorough knowledge of GDS and involvement in preparation for GDS assessments

• Experienced in design/delivery of GOV.UK services working to their Design System and GDS

Service Standards

• Strong agile experience

• Previous public sector interaction design experience
