Service Designer

Job Description

The Role

As a member of the Design Innovation team in the Kaizen Office, the Service Designer will help to provide a human-centric and design-led solution perspective in managing issues within a defined care setting and for care transition from one care setting to another. The expertise will complement the lean and design capability of the team, and help to accelerate the enculturation of design in redesigning care in TTSH. You will be expected to contribute and support in the following capacity:

1.       Participate in improvement and innovation projects and use a design-led approach to improve service touchpoints as part of a multidisciplinary team.

·         Lead end-to-end design activities including user design research (such as user interview and testing) co-creation design workshops, basic rapid prototyping, and product and service design

2.       Develop a design-led culture within the hospital through:

·         Facilitating internal and external engagements and

·         Working with internal and external relevant stakeholders to co-design solutions.

3.       Capability building through

·         Co-developing and conducting design and prototyping workshops.

The Skills

·         Creative problem solver and passionate about Healthcare Innovation and Design

·         Experience in conducting qualitative user research and quantitative research.

·         Able to translate complex ideas and situations to clear and understandable information for stakeholders

·         Able to lead and conduct co-creation workshops

·         Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Requirements

·         Degree in Design/ Business/ Innovation/ Engineering

·         At least 2-4 years in UX or Service Design role, preferably with working experience in a large organization. Fresh graduates with a strong portfolios will be considered.
