SERVICE DESIGNER (12 MONTHS CONTRACT)

Are you a meticulous worker with interest in technology or project management? If so, we want you to be part of our team at the Singapore Police Force (SPF).

Ops-Tech Department drives SPF’s transformation by leveraging digital technologies. It is a dynamic unit seeking to adopt new agile and user-centric methodologies on the implementation of tech products for police officers.

Responsibilities

The Service Designer will work with Product Managers and the UX team of Product Development Division from the Ops-Tech Department of SPF in the conceptualisation and design of applications for SPF officers through the implementation of design thinking methodologies and service design tools.

• Plan and implement the overall user research strategy and methods (e.g. focus groups, ethnography, interviews, and surveys)
• Produce Service Design Blueprints, Customer Journey Maps and Service Journey Maps
• Participate in the delivery of a range of projects as well as goals and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders
• Establish relationships and liaise with stakeholders during the project lifecycle and communicate envisioned service concepts using diverse set of methods and tools

Requirements

• Experience with design thinking/human-centered design is advantageous but not a requirement
• Experience with conceptualization, ideation, and iterative prototyping and able to employ various methods to prototype concepts
• Able to organize data into clear service design blueprints and communicate ideas and designs to diverse groups of stakeholders
• Team player who is able to work within a self-directed culture and navigate ambiguity
• Strong communication (written and verbal), analytical and interpersonal skill
