Service Designer

Job duties

As a service designer at the city management administration, you have an important role in the city’s development work by leading and coordinating efforts where the needs, experiences and perspectives of residents or other users are put in focus. With an analytical approach, you help businesses in the city understand the current situation, identify development opportunities and together create effective solutions that can make a difference for those we exist to serve.

In your role, you will lead projects and development efforts with a focus on the resident perspective. You use methods in service design and resident involvement to explore needs, behavior and experiences. Much of the work is done in collaboration with colleagues across the city’s organizational boundaries. You are there to support other administrations in their work with involvement. You also have an important function in spreading knowledge and building capacity in the city when it comes to user-centered development.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has an academic degree or other post-secondary education that is relevant to the assignment.

• has worked for a few years and is used to leading projects in service design or business development with the user in focus
• has good ability to communicate clearly and pedagogically even in more complex social issues
• is an outgoing and cooperative person who finds it easy to build relationships and networks and interact with people in different roles in daily work.
• are used to planning assignments/projects and relating to deadlines and financial frameworks.
• has the ability to have several ongoing tasks at the same time
• is comfortable leading or facilitating workshops or training sessions
