Are you curious and want to help drive Malmö city’s digitization in our digital lab?

Digitization is happening at a furious pace, it is reshaping people’s lives and creating new expectations. In the program Det digitala Malmö, the city of Malmö has formulated how the city should take advantage of the possibilities of digitization.

Now we are re-establishing the Malmö Civic Lab where we are looking for you, creative service designers , who want to work in close collaboration with the businesses to create solutions that benefit. 

Malmö Civic Lab (MCL) is a prototype activity in Malmö City, whose task is to find solutions to the challenges of the public sector through digital service design. Our mission is to work together with the core operations of the administrations and, with the help of design principles, move the organization and their services to the citizens. We do this through short design sprints to be able to present innovative solutions that improve the user experience and streamline services and processes.

We focus on working outside the businesses to map the needs and produce prototypes for the desired needs. The aim is to develop solutions that are handled in the businesses themselves, and that clearly contribute to a more efficient user experience for employees and citizens.

This is the role for you who want to help build a new, internal organization that creates value in the businesses through creativity and service design! Together with the colleagues at MCL, you will also help define internal and external work processes, develop collaborations and set goals for the business.
