Function

You will work in the design-and-solution team. Here you work together with architectural colleagues on complex issues. For example, how do we ensure that people can arrange their financial affairs digitally without the intervention of a tax office employee? Design research and an evidence-based approach are decisive for realistic solutions. As designers, we believe that combining knowledge from multiple disciplines enables us to conduct high-quality research and arrive at the right conclusions. We work agile and are part of the release train generic portal. This consists of a number of multidisciplinary teams that jointly plan, organize and carry out their work. For example, we develop modern interaction using generic (digital) components that fit together perfectly. And that deliver added value to the formulated objective for the generic portal.

In your role as UX designer / service designer you are (partly) responsible for starting up projects and transferring them to executive teams. Consider a project aimed at devising and setting up a decentralized service to be able to efficiently develop and manage digital forms throughout the Tax Authorities. You simultaneously maintain an overview of multiple projects, contribute to the development of validated insights into customer needs, and identify improvements in customer journeys.

As a UX designer / service designer you come up with broad concepts together with colleagues. You communicate this with your own teammates, the other teams in the train, stakeholders and customers. You will actively use your knowledge of and experience with design thinking and service design methods. You can properly estimate which parts of the method you can apply in the projects to achieve the right result and you coach your colleagues in this area. Facilitating workshops is also an important part of your work. For this you proactively look for stakeholders in the organization.
