Service Designer
Arts Council England
As a Service Designer, you will map and analyse existing services, identify friction points and opportunities for improvement, and support Service Owners to design end-to-end services that consider the full user journey.
You will work closely with user researchers, data teams, product managers, delivery managers and stakeholders to understand user needs, co-design improved services, facilitate workshops and create service design artefacts such as journey maps, service blueprints and system maps.
You will help shape services through discovery, alpha, beta and live phases, advocate for accessibility and inclusive design, and communicate complex service concepts clearly to influence decision-making.
About You
You will have experience applying service design methods to understand and improve services, mapping end-to-end journeys and identifying opportunities for improvement.
You will understand user-centred design principles, be comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams, and have strong facilitation and communication skills. You will be able to balance user needs with organisational priorities and constraints, and will have an awareness of accessibility and inclusive design principles.
Experience in the public sector, familiarity with Government Digital Service approaches, and knowledge of how digital, data and technology support service delivery would be beneficial.
Equality Diversity and Inclusion Statement: Arts Council are committed to being an inclusive employer, building an inclusive workplace, and recruiting a workforce that is as diverse as the communities we serve. However, you identify, and whatever background you bring with you, we welcome you to apply for a role at Arts Council.
