Service Designer

A great opportunity has risen for a Service Designer to support our ambitious 5-year strategy where they will play a key role in helping us listen to people affected by lung conditions to understand how they feel and what they really need, and support them with information, advice and practical help through our services.

Asthma + Lung UK is the only charity in the UK fighting for everyone with a lung condition, aiming for a world where everyone can breathe with healthy lungs. We fund cutting-edge research, provide advice and support for the 12 million people who will get a lung condition during their lifetime. We also campaign for clean air and for better NHS diagnosis and treatment.

You will conduct design research, generate insights and make actionable recommendations. You will represent people with lung conditions and their needs in cross functional teams, collaborating with colleagues to develop and deliver products and services and measure their impact. You’ll be a champion for human centred research and design across the organisation.

You will have strong research and design skills, particularly in digital. You will be an excellent collaborator and facilitator who is self-directed and comfortable working with complexity and ambiguity.

You will interact with colleagues at all levels across the organisation and have a great opportunity to develop your design leadership skillset.
