Lead Service Designer

As a Lead Service Designer, you’ll:
• Be an advocate for best practice in service design, lead on cross-government design projects and keep up to date with industry changes.
• Play an active leadership role in the Service Design team, providing expert advice and guidance to lead the adoption of best practice, whilst building a strong and collaborative service design culture.
• Lead on the development of the service design community within the department and across the government, whilst helping to shape service design career paths.
• You’ll assure the quality of service design across teams and its alignment to departmental goal, using research, data and other evidence to translate user needs into whole services (including non-digital parts).
• Work closely with product owners, programme directors, policy, legal and other senior stakeholders to help to build teams, solve problems and develop strategy.
