Service Designer

The Role

As a Service Designer, you will:

• Lead and contribute across the full service design lifecycle, from research and ideation to prototyping and delivery.
• Champion user-centred design and accessibility, applying GDS standards and inclusive practices.
• Produce clear design artefacts such as user journeys, service blueprints, personas, and service concepts.
• Facilitate workshops, design sprints and ideation sessions with stakeholders and users.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (UX, research, product, engineering) in an agile environment.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience delivering service design in complex environments.
• Strong understanding of GDS service standards and agile delivery.
• Ability to create and present design outputs clearly to diverse audiences.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• SC Clearance, or eligibility to obtain (UK resident for 5+ years).
