Service Designer

This role will design services for UKEF that meet users’ needs and the Service Standard. They’ll work with multi-disciplinary teams to improve and design new or existing services, researching with both internal and external users taking into consideration the service design from a digital and non-digital perspective.

In this role, you will:

• Work with Service Owners, Product Managers, User Researchers and Business Analysts on projects and services to produce and develop design concepts, re-using common component design patterns from across government where appropriate
• Implementing design concepts into practical working prototypes to test with users
• Be able to interpret evidence-based research and analytics and incorporate this into your work
• Lead the service design strategy and user experience approach for the project or service assigned to, identifying appropriate strategies, methods, and audiences
• Produce artefacts that communicate and provide context to the service design such as journey maps, service blueprints and design concepts

To meet the National Security Vetting requirements for this role you will need to have resided in the UK for a minimum of 3 out of the past 5 years. If you do not meet this requirement, you would not be eligible for SC clearance and therefore not eligible to apply for this role.
