Service Designer

About the Role

Your main priorities will be:

• Work across the Digital Transformation Team, Council departments and with residents, to understand, articulate and incorporate the needs of people in service re-design and digital transformation activity.

• Champion and advocate user-centred design across the council.

• Coach and upskill others understanding of user-centred design.

• Work collaboratively with Council departments to scope new service design processes and projects.

• Provide specialist advice and direction on the full end-to-end customer journey experience with digital services to deliver improved service outcomes and efficiencies.

• Compile user research into actionable insights and lead design activities that build on these findings.

• Make the case for design decisions, explaining and communicating ideas to senior stakeholders to build consensus
