Senior Service and Systems Designer

​​The Opportunity 

​We’re looking for a Senior Service and Systems Designer to help us achieve real impact by leading on the inception, design, development and delivery of inclusive, system-shifting services, experiences and interventions. These will aim to deliver on The RSA’s Design for Life ambition to unlock everyone’s potential to contribute towards more rebalanced, resilient and regenerative futures.

​This role is based from RSA House in London for at least three days per week, with hybrid flexibility for the remaining days.

​About You

​What we look for in an entrepreneurial Senior Service Systems Designer candidate: 

• ​With a strong portfolio of complex projects demonstrating social impact through the design of services, experiences and enterprises that operate at scale and that are systems-shifting.
• ​Knowledgeable and experienced in 360 and end-to-end service design including frontstage, backstage, and the development and integration into target operating models, data infrastructure and business models.
• ​Ability to zoom in and zoom out to deliver personalised and transformative experiences through services at the micro level, whilst influencing and shifting the wider system around these services at the macro level (e.g. organisations, policy, infrastructure and financing).
• ​Experienced in a range of participatory and multidisciplinary design approaches and methods, essentially service design, systems thinking, strategic design, policy design and business design and desirably regenerative design and futures thinking. 
• ​Experience of conducting research with, working with and managing a diverse range of stakeholders and participants from children and entrepreneurs to communities, businesses and funders.
• ​Experienced in communicating ideas, processes and stories compellingly via speaking, writing and visual communication.
• ​Experience of leading multidisciplinary project teams championing a high performance, high impact culture, creating supportive spaces for professional development, and delivering high quality work against objectives.
