Job description

DVLA have two excellent opportunities working within the Operations Customer Service Directorate (OCSD), where your focus will be to design and/or implement change to improve our end to end user service. These roles will feed into each other and will require excellent leadership, communication and influencing skills as well as strong relationship management to ensure effective change delivery to the service and achieve a 1st class customer and staff experience.

As Service Designer ,you will be responsible for leading, designing, and delivering the end-to-end, multi-channel user experience of one or more services. You will champion user needs throughout the organisation. You will work with Service Design Leads and other Service Designers to ensure all user needs are met and that consistent user experience is offered across the whole agency.

Responsibilities

The Service Designer responsibilities include:

• Assisting the Service Design Lead to define the scope and direction of the development and continual improvement of one or more services.

• Working with the Service Design Lead to define user journeys and the direction of user research and translating research into tangible service designs.

• Communicating credibly with a wide range of digital delivery disciplines and talent both internally and externally.

• Building relationships and work effectively with other business Managers and their teams.

• Supporting Service Design Leads and delivery managers to develop business cases and progress them through approval routes.
