What You Will Do
Our team supporting a cybersecurity federal client is seeking a talented junior service design expert to research and design efficient and human-centered processes for the public to engage with the agency. The candidate will be matrixed to this team from the Defense and Security segment’s Human-Centered Design (HCD) team, which is a mix of strategists, researchers, designers and developers dedicated to making all of our client solutions more human-centered. As a Service Designer, the candidate will play a crucial role collaborating with cross-functional teams to evaluate business processes, design improvements, and work closely with ServiceNow developers to create public-facing web pages and forms. The candidate will also be responsible for reporting on their progress to stakeholders by preparing regular briefings and data visualizations. Day-to-day, the candidate will be expected to lead their workstreams with limited supervision, including:
- Business process reengineering
- Designing and leading user research plans and stakeholder engagement
- Service design, service blueprinting, and collaborating with developers
- Designing web forms for clarity and maximum completion rates
- Contributing to the HCD team’s growth by supporting white papers and proposals
What You Will Need
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum ONE (1) years’ of experience
- Proficiency in designing and leading research plans, improving processes, and designing services or experiences
What Would Be Nice To Have
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as User Experience, Service Design, Psychology, Business, Operations Research, or related
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills
- Experience designing for ServiceNow
- Graphic design or UI design experience
