Senior Service Designer

As a senior service designer, you will:

• Lead project teams through all the stages of a project to co-create impactful solutions for our clients
• Inspire and support our designers and researchers as you collaborate with primary stakeholders
• Uncover profound user needs through research, develop deep insights, generate concepts and craft how people will interact with the products and services we design
• Assist the leadership team in establishing and managing client relationships as well as plan future projects
• Excel in design management: propose and keep projects on plan while ensuring excellent deliverable quality
• Be a walking billboard for the craft of service design
• Make a difference in the community through service design training, meetups, speaking opportunities, and social impact projects

5-7 years of experience in these key areas would be optimal:

• Working on service design projects for different types of users, business problems and touchpoints (spaces, devices, etc.)
• Scoping, planning, and leading service design projects/activities from initial requirements to concept, interaction design and development
• Planning, facilitating, and synthesizing workshops
• Translating ideas and visualizing insights using different service design tools like service definition, journey mapping, blueprinting, etc
• Thinking through innovations for the designed service at a business model level
• Working directly with clients (proposal writing experience is a big plus)
• Digital prototyping– storyboarding, user flows, wireframing, etc. (experience with physical prototyping also a plus)
• Managing and mentoring junior researchers and designers
• Incorporating strategic foresight and scenario planning for services is a plus
