Senior Service Designer

As a Senior Service Designer, you’ll collaborate with high performing designers and health care experts to create innovative health care solutions that address the core needs of patients, doctors, brokers and employers. You’ll be participating on design sprint teams through a human-centered design process and playing a critical role in design research and insight development, framing design challenges, collaborative ideation, and low fidelity prototyping & testing. Throughout the process, you’ll have the opportunity to present your insights and recommendations to a diverse set of stakeholders (coworkers, sponsors and mentors).
Responsible for supporting the enterprise wide strategic pillar of consumer centricity to improve consumer experience by designing the interactions between the organization and the member by researching what drives member satisfaction, identifying and designing what future interaction should look like, prototyping the interaction and developing a business case for the initiative.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Supports the planning, conduct design research (i.e., this is ethnographic research including interviews with members and observations), analyzes and synthesizes findings, and define current and future state experiences for entire segments or entire consumer journeys.
- Develops future state concepts through low fidelity prototypes and develop a business case for the initiatives.
- Leads the team plan and conduct designs research, facilitates workshops to design the future state, synthesizes data, develops prototypes for testing, and provides stakeholder updates.
Qualifications
Requires a BA/BS degree in graphic/visual design or related field; 3 years of experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Master’s degree preferred. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat), Microsoft Suite (PPT, Word, Excel) required. Critical thinking, creative problem-solving, design research, sense-making and pattern recognition required. Visualization and storytelling (personas, journey mapping), experience leading design, and experience verbally and visually presenting insights, ideas and concepts required.
