The Lead Service Designer will apply knowledge and expertise to guide and advise the Principal Service Designer and Service Design Team on the best directions and actions for the branch, focus on activities in Human Centred Design and provide advisory and technical Assistance projects across the VPS.

Some of the key responsibilities for this role are to:

  • Manage the expert senior Designers within the team and support the development of the Co-design strategy.
  • Engage with the varied stakeholders to thoroughly understand them and what is required.
  • Design and facilitate co-design workshops, build networks and key stakeholder relationships, establish and promote a collaborative environment
  • Use research, concepts, insight and ideas to build and implement actionable plans, solutions and outcomes.
  • Design and develop prototypes to test potential solutions.

About You

As our ideal candidate, you will:

  • Be an experienced Service Designer who has worked on a varied range of digital projects, applied human-centred design methods and can demonstrate creative problem solving.
  • Have experience managing, leading and growing a team, guiding and advising people, teams and organisations.
  • Have experience conducing user research using a variety of methods, ability to use information and data to visualise design research insights.
