Participate as a Service Designer in the CX Division of Yarra Valley Water. Under the direction of the Head of Service Experience, you will apply design thinking and service design processes, tools and methods, making use of design research to design human-centred services that optimise customer and employee experience and help the business achieve its strategic objectives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute to planning and managing customer experience design research activities collaboratively with the team.
  • Champion a design and customer led approach to projects, advocating for better customer outcomes
  • Design end-to-end products and services, from discovery to synthesis and ideation through to design, prototyping, design delivery, sustainment and improvement
  • Analyse and make recommendations based on insight, user research and business requirements
  • Analyse research data identifying and generating meaningful insights and behavioural patterns.
  • Work closely with visual and user experience designers as well as developers and other stakeholders, contributing to the improvement of the design quality and final user experience.
  • Assist other design team members to follow the service design and delivery process where necessary
  • Undertake BAU for specific initiatives without supervision
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience designing human centred service experiences
  • Experience working in Services/service systems or products
  • Experience in Public sector highly regarded
