Senior Service Designer

Summary

We are seeking an execution focused Service Designer to join a cross-functional Agile Scrum team delivering product features for a major social services transformation initiative. The successful candidate will lead service design, UX/UI, and interaction design activities across web and mobile solutions, collaborate closely with client stakeholders and delivery teams, and drive the creation of innovative, user-centered experiences using established design systems and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Work within a cross-functional Agile Scrum team with a focus towards delivery execution
• Deliver innovative web and mobile experiences and incorporate the latest design trends into delivery execution.
• Deliver using the accepted design system to deliver with velocity and create consistent deliverables.
• Drive deliverable completion and support more junior designers, developers and testers on the team.
• Work alongside client resources to understand requirements and drive acceptance for solutions.
• Lead interaction and UI/UX activities including client workshops.
• Coordinate effectively with technology and functional leads to accelerate delivery and meet critical milestones.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Service Design, User Experience Design, Human-Centered Design, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in:
  • User Experience (UX) Design
  • User Interface (UI) Design Processes
  • Interaction Design
  • Service Design methodologies, including journey mapping and service blueprinting
• Experience designing and delivering web and mobile digital products in Agile environments.
• Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops and collaborative design sessions.
• Proven ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, developers, testers, product teams, and technology leads.
• Experience using design systems and design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Axure).
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience mentoring and supporting junior team members.
• Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design principles is an asset.
