Service Designer Trainee

You will work in OP Financial Group’s multidisciplinary product and service development teams. You will help your team define and clarify the problems to be solved, plan alternative solutions and identify those that are feasible and generate the most value from the alternative solutions. You understand the value of data in supporting your work, know how to utilize it and smoothly sift through the essential information you collect. Together with other experts in the team, you will be responsible for ensuring that the development of the products and/or services belonging to your team is carried out in a customer-centric manner.

Characteristics of the trainee we are looking for

The prerequisite for success as a Service Designer Trainee is extensive knowledge of customer-centric thinking and operating methods, such as design thinking. You have completed or are in the final stages of your studies in service design at a university in the field. You are able to draw up a work plan based on a design approach and successfully implement your plan. You are an analytical, creative thinker and a deep expert in empathy. You know how to clarify problems. When working, you naturally take on the role of a participant and smoothly involve both OP Financial Group’s own personnel and customers in the development.

You have good communication skills. You communicate fluently in Finnish, both orally and in writing, and you have sufficient skills in English. You work well as part of a multidisciplinary team, but you are also capable of working independently. You also want to participate in the continuous development of your team’s methods.
