Service Designer

As a service designer, you lead and carry out involvement together with a working group of two people and are also part of the project group for a new city library. You also work as a resource around involvement for the entire library, via eg process management and advice. The position is located in the Meetings department and reporting takes place to the department head. For the work with the library of the future, reporting takes place directly to the library manager and to the library’s project manager for the renovation and extension of the city library.

• Ensure continuous involvement of library users, both existing and potential
• Pursue the involvement work in the project of developing the library of the future
• Work with resident involvement and design of the place and the services offered, eg media lab, residents’ stage, creative areas, meeting places and various scenes
• Work concretely with the city library of the future as an innovative and creative meeting place
• Work with design processes and involvement work throughout the business
• Facilitate workshops and carry out, for example, design sprints with residents and staff
• Turn the insights from involvement into innovation and development of the business

Qualifications

• Academic education in library and information science, service design or equivalent
• Training in service design
• Experience of leading meeting place and / or local development projects in a public environment
• Experience of innovation work
• Supervision, treatment and service thinking for all the library’s target groups
• Willingness and interest in working with the possibilities of digitalisation
• Strong interest in the library’s future activities
